Raiders fall to Panthers and Dolphins in district volleyball action

The Raiders volleyball team played a rematch with Milton at home on Sept. 18. The first time these two teams met, the Raiders prevailed in a five-game marathon match. The rematch was similar in intensity, though the result was not.

After winning the third and fourth games against Milton to tie the match, the Raiders were frustrated, losing the fifth game and the match.

The first game could have gone either way and it almost went Navarre’s way. The Raiders served for game point three times and each time came up short. The game began with a service ace by Alex Rebber, followed by two more points and the Raiders took a 4-2 lead. However, the Panthers ran off three straight points of their own to take the lead.

Madison Jones ended the Panther rally with a block, tying the score at five. The Panthers rallied again, jumping back into a 13-10 lead.
