Navarre boys basketball coach Taf Bentley is excited about the season ahead. Part of that excitement stems from the fact that he has an experienced group of players, particularly the seven seniors on the roster.
“I’m excited about what those guys bring to the table,” Bentley said. “It’s a good group of kids who work hard and come in every day and really give maximum effort.”
Juwan Bracey, Demetre Page, Tre Baker, Quinton Wylie, Marcus Richardson, Zamir Jones and Jaxson Aldrich are the seniors on the Raiders’ roster. They are joined by juniors Tyrese Harvey, Tony Recinos, Seth Fletcher, Royce Thomas, Cole Weathers, Dominic Riddle, and Zach Christiansen, along with sophomore Hunter Revis.
“We want to be a team who plays fast and thinks fast,” Bentley said. “We’re excited about what we have in front of us. Our focus is to be the best Navarre team we can be.”
Bentley, in his third season with the Raiders, said one of the keys to success is being able to get the job done on the defensive end of the floor.
“We want to be a quality defensive team,” Bentley said. “That is where it starts for us.”
