It hasn’t been easy for the Navarre volleyball team in the early part of the season. Despite the effort, the Raiders have struggled to put marks in the win column.
Their latest loss was to Tate on Thursday night. The Raiders fell in four games. It was their second District 1-7A loss of the year.
“We’ve had a couple of setbacks with losing the two district games, but Niceville and Tate are both good teams.” Navarre head coach Michelle Lee said. “We have a lot to work on and want to be prepared to play them the next time.”
Navarre struggled in the opener to the Aggies, losing 25-12 but came bouncing back in a big way in the second game to nail down a 25-22 win in a back-and-forth battle.
But Navarre was unable to build off the momentum in the third game as Tate won for the second time with a 25-13 victory.
The Raiders refused to go down without a fight in the fourth game, hoping to force a fifth and deciding game. They trimmed the lead to two several times, including at 21-19 and 23-21, but couldn’t complete the rally as the Aggies held on for a 25-21 win.
