Navarre will once again play in one of the best tournaments of the holiday season when it travels to Fort Walton to compete in the Northwest Florida Shootout at Choctaw High School.
The Raiders, winners of six consecutive games, begin tournament play today against private school powerhouse Evangelical Christian out of Tennessee. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
Navarre finished fourth in the tournament a year ago and was the runner-up in 2015.
The tourney features top teams from several states, including Sumter Central out of Alabama, which played in the Elite Eight last season. University School out of Louisiana is a feeder school for LSU and Choctaw, of course, is one of the best teams in the state of Florida.
