The Gulf Breeze Dolphins proved to be nice bookends for the Raiders’ baseball season. After falling in their first two games, Navarre picked up their first regular season win against the Dolphins. On April 15, the Raiders got their final regular season win at Gulf Breeze by a score of 3-2. After starting the season 1-7, the Raiders rebounded nicely to finish the regular season 12-12.
However, Navarre’s baseball season ended Monday night in Niceville. Fort Walton Beach short stop Darren Hasch drove a Jared Gonzalaz pitch over the center field wall in the first inning to give the Vikings a 2-0 lead.
The Raiders threatened in the fifth inning. Navarre had the bases loaded with one out but failed to get a player home.
