Navarre’s girls track team finished in the top five at the Andrews Invitational Friday afternoon in Gulf Breeze, placing third at the meet. Pine Forest won the title.
The Raiders had three individual champions at the meet, including Amaya Craig, who is competing in track for the first time this season and won the shot put with a throw of 31-feet-9 1/4 inches. Abigail Pantlitz sprinted to a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.8 as she continued her impressive freshman season. Khiara Newton, a state qualifier a year ago, also won an event, placing first in the pole vault with a height of 9-6.
