Navarre’s cheerleaders trained hard in June but spent the last week of the month in a less intense setting as they ran a youth cheer camp at the high school.
Co-captain Hannah Logan remembers what it was like to participate in the camp when she was younger and enjoyed having the opportunity to teach others.
“It’s a lot of fun and a great experience,” Logan said. “I remember coming here when I was little. I enjoy being able to share what I’ve learned being a cheerleader.”
Co-captain Bri Diel, took pride in being able to give back as well during the three-day camp inside the gymnasium.
“I love teaching the younger girls because one day they will be cheerleaders here,” Diel said. “When it’s over each day, I already want to go back.”
