Navarre’s volleyball team traveled to Pensacola on Sep. 5 and won a closely contested match, 3 games to two over the Tigers.
Two days later, they returned home and were overwhelmed by Tate, last year’s district runner-up, three games to none.

The Raiders made the first game look easy, winning 25-12. They took a 6-3 lead in the game when Caitlin Bethell served four straight points, including two aces. The lead grew to 15-10 with blocks by Megan Haytack and Lauren Robbins.
With the score 20 -12, Alex Rebber served the last five points of the first game as Madison Jones ruled the net, blocking two shots and making one kill.
The Raiders lost game two by a 25 -23 score. In the third game, they could never get going and lost 25-14. The team was not communicating well and made several unforced errors.
With their backs against the wall, the team started the fourth game with renewed determination. The lead changed hands several times throughout the game, but never by more than two points.
