Navarre’s girls soccer team continues to roll

Navarre’s girls soccer team has yet to give up a goal this season The Raiders blanked three teams last week, rolling over Escambia 10-0, topping Washington 4-0 and cruising past Pace 5-0.

Their game against Crestview Saturday was postponed because of rain.

Navarre is 6-0 overall and 5-0 in the district.

The Raiders traveled to Pensacola to take on Escambia last Monday. The Gators proved to be no challenge to the Raiders. After scoring 10 goals in the first half, the ‘mercy rule’ was invoked in the beginning of the second half and the Raiders added another shutout victory to their resume.

The Raiders did not waste any time showing their dominance over the Gators.

Two minutes into the game, Jennifer Seward scored from the right side after taking a pass from Autumn Slaybaugh.

Seconds later, Seward returned the favor, passing to Slaybaugh at the top of the goal. Slaybaugh fired a shot past the Gator keeper and the Raiders led 2-0.

In the sixth minute, Hailey Bastian assisted on a goal by Hunter Wallace giving the Raiders a three-goal lead.
