Last Wednesday night’s boys soccer game between Navarre and Crestview was as much about the present as it was the future.
The Raiders recognized seniors Mason Fralick, Ethan Green and Kenny Morillo before the game.
First-year varsity standout Kobe Banks stole the show on the field.
The junior fashioned a hat trick, scoring all three goals in Navarre’s 3-0 win over the Bulldogs on a chilly, toe-numbing night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.
He pushed his season total to 15, propelling the Raiders (12-4-1, 9-3-1 District 1-4A) to a season sweep of Crestview.
“Kobe has been doing a really good job and is one of the top goal scorers in the area,” Navarre head coach Abdalla Elbaioumy said. “He’s playing great soccer. He’s been a great addition to our team.”
Banks scored with ease against the Bulldogs.
In a span of two minutes, he scored twice. Banks scored the first goal coming with 27 minutes left in the first half. He tallied the other with a little over 25 minutes to play.
