When asked to give his thoughts after Navarre High School’s 3-0 season-opening victory over Gulf Breeze, first year head coach Scott Murphy responded, “It all starts on the mound.”
Truer words may have never been spoken.
Matt Cronin was given the ball Feb. 10 to start the 2015 season against the Dolphins. What he did with the ball was masterful.
Last year, in a game against Escambia County, Cronin fell one “K” short of tying the school strikeout record of 16 set in 2009 by Josh Pyaett against West Florida.
