Navarre’s baseball team won its sixth consecutive game Thursday night, blanking Fort Walton 3-0.
Matt Cronin led the way as he struck out 15 in seven innings of work. He gave up only two hits. Cronin has 105 strikeouts on the year and leads the state in strikeouts per game (2.14)
The Raiders gave Cronin all of the offensive support he would need in the second, scoring all three runs in the frame. Six Raiders tallied hits in the win, including Cade Taylor, who came through with a double and drove in two runs. Michael Sandle and Octavien Moyer also racked up doubles in the win.
The Raiders and Vikings are expected to square off again in the district tournament in two weeks.
