Navarre’s softball team split its two games last week, opening with a 3-2 loss to Glenwood before earning a 6-0 win over Pine Forest.
“We have been starting to be more competitive and that has led to success,” Navarre head softball coach Kim Smith said. “We have also been doing a better job at being more selective at the plate and executing with runners in scoring position.”
That much was evident against Pine Forest March 25. The Raiders (7-12) cranked out 11 hits, with three players coming through with two or more hits.
Sam Combs fueled the offensive attack, tallying three hits. She also scored a run.
