Navarre’s girls weightlifting team competed against Choctaw for its third meet of the season and won the match by a 69-20 score. The Raiders won first place finishes in 9 out of 10 weight division.
In the 101-pound weight division, Klara Latouche placed first with a bench press of 95 pounds and a 100-pound clean and jerk for a combined lift of 195 pounds. Kari Brewton placed third with a 165-pound combined weight.
Jelina Bly placed first in the 110-pound weight division with a 130-pound bench press and a 135-pound clean-and-jerk for a combined lift of 265 pounds. Myiah Fred placed second with a combined lift of 230 pounds.
In the 119-pound weight division Lily Williams placed first with a bench press of 135 pounds and a 130-pound clean-and-jerk for a combined lift of 265 pounds. Katie Johnson finished second with a combined lift of 255 pounds.
Natalya Garza placed first in the 129-pound weight division with a 135-pound bench press and a 165-pound clean-and-jerk for a combined lift of 300 pounds. Kylie Kerr placed second with a combined lift of 280 pounds.
