Navarre beats Wakulla in OT

This was the game that fans live for, but players wish weren’t so close. However, Coach Walls’  quote, “”Give me four quarters, and we have a good chance of winning” came rang true last night. The Raiders were trailing 20-0 in the second quarter and were able to get 3 points on the board before the half. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Raiders tied it up 35-35 with 8 seconds left in the game. The final score rested at 42-41 in overtime after both teams made touchdowns. However, Raiders were able to stop the War Eagles from making the extra point.

History: The Raiders played Wakulla on the road to the State Championships in 2011 and lost to Wakulla. Wakulla War Eagles have been Florida State Champions twice and were ranked 19th in the State of Florida – before last night’s game.
