Hannah Stapleton has been playing softball “since forever,” at least that is the answer she gives when asked after another day of travel softball action with the West Florida Elite.
Forever might be a stretch, but the Navarre standout isn’t exaggerating too much. She’s been around the game for quite some time.
“I was at softball fields before I could even walk,” Stapleton said. “My sisters played college ball and I’ve been playing almost my whole life. I love it.”
Stapleton has been with the Pensacola-based Elite since her freshman year with the Raiders and noted she has made significant strides playing over the summer.
“Things are going well,” Stapleton said. “I had a bumpy high school season, but I’m doing really good here and looking forward to continuing to get better as a player.”
Stapleton, a junior, is one of two Navarre players on the Elite’s 16-and-under team. Callie Anderson, who will be a freshman this year, also plays for the Elite.
