Jordan Leggett wasn’t in action Saturday night in the New York Jets’ preseason game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
According to CBS Sports, the former Navarre standout wasn’t able to practice this past week and did not play Saturday because of a foot injury. The severity of the injury is unknown. The Jets lost 32-31 to the Giants after trailing 29-3 at halftime.
Leggett did play in the first two preseason games, catching a total of two passes for 20 yards. The Jets play their final preseason game Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles at home.
Leggett was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL draft and is a two-time Mackey Award finalist out of Clemson. He helped lead the Tigers to a national title in January and went into camp in line to start at tight end because Austin Seferian-Jenkins is suspended for the first two weeks of the regular season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
