Jordan Leggett made his NFL debut Saturday night at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The former Navarre standout caught one pass for eight yards in the New York Jets’ 7-3 win over the Tennessee Titans in the preseason opener for both teams.
New York scored its lone touchdown when Josh McCown connected wtih Charone Peake on a 4-yard touchdown pass in the opening quarter.
The Jets are hoping it’s a sign of things to come after finishing fourth in the AFC East last year with a 5-11 record.
Leggett is aiming to play a key role for the Jets at tight end. He was taken in the fifth round of the draft out of Clemson where he was a two-time Mackey Award finalist and helped the Tigers win the national championship this past season.
