Lady Raiders still undefeated

The Lady Raiders soccer team remains undefeated in district play going into the Thanksgiving break after defeating Milton 4-1 at home on Nov. 24.

Although the Raiders controlled play from the beginning of the game, it took them a few minutes to put the Panther goal keeper to work.

The Raiders had several close calls before they scored the first goal of the game. In the 6th minute, Kayla Folse brought the ball down the right side. She made a move about 20 yards from the goal and had an open shot. The Milton keeper was up to the task and knocked down Folse’s hard shot. A minute later Melia Gross threw the ball in to Rylie Slaybaugh in the box. Slaybaugh found Emily Madril with a pass, but the Milton keeper was able to block Madril’s shot.
