Jacob Kendall always jokes with his Millsaps College teammates about there being no life after football.
“It’s going to feel weird when it’s done,” Kendall said.
Time is slipping away on the former Navarre standout’s senior season, but the clock hasn’t hit zero yet and Kendall intends to make the most of the opportunities in front of him.
Through four games the Majors are 3-2 and Kendall has been a leader on a defense that has held two of its opponents to just 13 points. He has tallied 15 tackles and has already beaten his sack total of a season ago, registering 3.5 sacks.
A year ago he was an honorable mention All-Southern Athletic Association selection for the Majors, recording 30 tackles and three sacks.
But here is the thing about that performance. Kendall spent last season playing injured after tearing his ulnar collateral ligament.
