Aaron Grimes used to swing a baseball bat.
Now he swings a golf club.
Grimes, who grew up playing baseball, has been golfing since his high school career began at Navarre.
A trip to the course for his birthday sparked his interest in the game.
“My dad took me out to golf for my birthday my freshman year and I ended up trying out for the team,” Grimes said. “I had never played golf before high school. I was always a baseball player.”
Grimes thrived in baseball, helping his team win the Dixie Youth State championship, but he enjoyed the challenge that came with learning to be successful in a new sport.
