Ethan Green has played a pivotal role in Navarre’s success in soccer during his career.
He’ll now get a chance to do the same as a college soccer player. The senior standout signed with Belhaven, an NCAA Division III school in Mississippi. It competes in the American Southwest Conference.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to play at the next level, so this opportunity makes me ecstatic,” Green said.
When asked what it meant to him to get an opportunity to play college soccer, the hard-working defender noted it clears a wide-open path for a bright future in the sport.
“It means a bunch of other doors just opened for a possible career in soccer,” Green said.
Green played varsity soccer for two seasons at Navarre. He helped the Raiders advance to the district championship game both years. The Raiders also played in the regional tournament each of the last two seasons.
He heads to a Belhaven team that finished 4-11-3 a year ago but has a history of success, winning two national championships while competing at the NAIA level.
With an enrollment of a little more than 4,200, Green said the school was a good fit for him.
