Avery Geyer’s baseball career is headed in the right direction again.
Making it happen hasn’t been easy because of the obstacles along the way.
There was the hyperextended elbow he suffered during a state championship celebration with Pensacola Catholic.
The Navarre native has also battled a muscle contusion and tendinitis. And when he arrived on campus at Mississippi State as a freshman, he injured his ankle during fall baseball practice.
Those issues are now in the rearview mirror.
Geyer is getting back to his old self and showed glimpses of that potential this past season at Northwest Florida State.
This fall he is headed to South Alabama to continue his baseball career at the Division I level.
