Raiders playing Dolphins for bragging rights and district crown

Caine Adamson has split time at quarterback all season for the Navarre Raiders. With each passing week, the junior continues making strides.

Adamson has shown he has the ability to throw the ball, completing 19 of his 35 passes for 250 yards and seven touchdowns, but he is a threat to run as well, picking up 267 yards and scoring twice.

“I’ve definitely improved a lot since the beginning of the year, but I can always improve more,” Adamson said. “One of my biggest improvements is being able to manage the game better.”

Using a two-quarterback system isn’t easy, but the unbeaten and fourth-ranked Raiders (8-0) have made it work. Sage Chambers (37-of-61, 436 yards, 4 touchdowns) plays the first and fourth quarters while Adamson sees his action in the middle two quarters.

“They are having their moments where they are consistent, but they have had moments where they have to get better,” Navarre head coach Jay Walls said. “Both are great kids and work hard. They are team guys. They want to be as good as they can be.”
