The Navarre Raiders are ranked No. 9 in the latest Associated Press 6A poll. Navarre jumped into the top 10 after a 42-0 win over Washington Friday night in Pensacola.
Navarre is 3-0 and has outscored opponents 142-36. The Raiders are off this week but will play again Sept. 18 in a game against fifth-ranked Choctaw. The Indians defeated the Raiders twice last year, including earning a 35-14 win in the second round of the playoffs. The showdown of state-ranked teams is set for 7:30 p.m. at Bennett C Russell Stadium.
Escambia is ranked sixth in the latest poll. Navarre will play the Gators in its Homecoming game Oct. 9. Niceville is 10th. The Raiders play the Eagles in their regular season finale Nov. 6.
