Jordan Ewing missed the first half of the 2014 football season because of an injury, but he’s bounced back and is eager to be an even better player this fall.
He and his Navarre teammates are all hungry for improvement, and that much was evident in the effort they put forth during the first week of summer workouts.
“It’s nice to be back out here,” said Ewing, a senior wide receiver. “We came out working hard and want to be ready to be at our best for this year.”
Navarre head coach Jay Walls was pleased with what he saw as his team ran through drills and seven-on-seven competition at Bennett C. Russell Stadium on a hot Thursday morning in June.
Nearly 100 varsity and junior varsity players took part in the two-and-a-half-hour workouts, which will continue into July.
