Navarre senior defensive back Michael Sandle was named a first-team 6A All-State selection on Wednesday. Sandle was one of four Raiders to earn all-state honors. The players were selected by newspaper editors and reporters in Florida.
Offensive linemen Cory Capenia (senior) and Nick Brahms (junior) are second-team offense selections while senior defensive lineman Anthony Miller was an honorable mention pick.
Sandle was a dual threat for the Raiders, who finished 10-1 and won the District 2-6A title. He picked off six passes this season, tallied 30.5 tackles and returned a kickoff and punt for a touchdown. On the offensive side of the ball, Sandle caught nine passes for 183 yard and three touchdowns while rushing for 223 yards and four scores.
Capenia and Brahms were part of an offensive line that paved the way for the Raiders to crank out 4,055 yards, including 3,060 on the ground.
Miller was an integral part of an aggressive and tenacious Navarre defense, making 57.5 tackles on the year. He finished with 5.5 sacks.
