Austin Epstein feels as if he’s in the best shape of his life.
Running cross-country and track in college has played a big part in creating that feeling.
The soon-to-be sophomore at Embry-Riddle was pushed hard by his older and more experienced teammates, putting him in a position where he either had to work hard or fall behind.

Epstein recalls the first meet of his college career. It was the Holloway Park Festival in Lakeland last September.
Epstein crossed the finish line in 17:24.93 in the 5K race, helping the Eagles win their first team title at an event since 2015. It was also the first race of the NCAA Division era of the program.
