Ailsa Clark turned in an impressive performance in the first two rounds of the Spring Break Shootout Monday in Dade City.
The former Navarre golfer shot a 137, helping Florida Gulf Coast finish in second on day one of the tourney. The final round is Tuesday.
Clark is in first place on the individual leader board, breaking the school record for the lowest two-round total. The previous mark was 138, set by teammate Laura Edmonds in the fall.
She shot a 67 in the opening round, tying the record for lowest round in program history, and closed with a 70 in the second round.
Clark is in her third season with the Eagles. Her lowest round prior to Monday was a 69 last season.
The Eagles shot a 572 as a team through the first two rounds. The trail first-place Troy by one stroke.
