Gatlin Casey didn’t put up the numbers he had hoped to this season, his final one with Lehigh.
An ankle injury in the middle of the year slowed down the former Navarre standout, but he still recorded stats most would be thrilled to have next to their name.
“Our offense was one of the best in the country,” Casey said. “I’m happy with how I performed overall. I’m excited about the future.”
The future that he talks about is the opportunity to use his graduate transfer season at a Division I school, preferably in the South. At the moment, he has one offer.
“I have an offer from Maine right now, but I’m still looking,” Casey said. “I just started looking around. I want to play another year to get more tape to prove myself to (NFL) scouts.”
Casey finished second in receptions (60) and yards (854) as he helped the Mountain Hawks claim a Patriot League title and make a second consecutive appearance in the FCS playoffs.
