Mary Beloat came charging at the ball with no plans of letting it touch the floor. Navarre’s volleyball team trailed area power Pensacola Catholic 18-4 in the second set of a match earlier this season, but that didn’t keep the senior from continuing to play with all-out effort.
Beloat made the save, keeping the maddening rally alive, and the Raiders came away with the point.

And while the Raiders fell in three games, Beloat walked off the floor knowing she played hard.
“I feel like we practice so hard in the gym every day. It would be an injustice to not let that reflect on the court,” Beloat said. “So, I just give it my all when I’m on the court.”
She opened the match with a couple of kills and proceeded to stay on top of her game, playing a crucial role in keeping the Raiders in the hunt, at times, for a potential upset.
