Argos picked second in the GSC

Tabbed as the No. 1 team in the nation in a couple of preseason polls, the University of West Florida is picked to finish second in its own conference.

The Argonauts received a total of 59 points and three first-place votes in the Gulf South Conference preseason poll. Six players are preseason all-conference picks.

West Alabama, one of four teams to make the NCAA Division II playoffs out of the conference, are favored to win the GSC. The defending league champions  picked up six first-place votes.

Samuel Antoine, Antoine Griffin, Ishmel Morrow, Marvin Conley, Andre Duncombe Jr. and Austin Williams all preseason all-league honors.
