The Andrews Institute is expanding its sports medicine coverage reach into the Okaloosa and Walton county school districts.
With that move, every public high school in those counties and the schools in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties are now covered by the Andrews Institute.
“We feel like it is our responsibility to the community to take care of our area student-athletes,” Andrews Institute Executive Director and Senior Vice President Dr. David Joyner stated in a press release. “By extending our sports medicine coverage, we feel like we are ensuring that more student-athletes will get access to quality care from Andrews Institute providers.”
Coverage to schools means Andrews will provide certified athletic trainers and physicians and provide 24-hour on-call service, daily medical coverage and injury evaluations for all partner schools.
