As spring approaches and the Florida temperatures heat up, so do the trends at Southern Specialty.
Known for featuring the latest fashions at their boutique, Southern Specialty owners and sisters-in-law, Lisa Gambill and Magda Morton, are always keeping their store stocked with the most stylish clothing and cutest gift ideas for that special someone in your life.
Gambill and Morton opened Southern Specialty back in 2014. These sisters wanted to provide a cute boutique to the local community, so Navarre residents wouldn’t have to drive to Pensacola if they wanted to get their shopping fix.
Southern Specialty is a local Navarre boutique that sells a variety of wonderful items, ranging from Navarre Beach blankets that feature the latitude and longitude of Navarre Beach to Myra handbags, which are made from recycled military canvas and are remarkably fashionable.
Morton’s favorite part of her job is seeing a customer’s face light up after they find the perfect gift idea or trendy outfit that completely fits their style. “Our customers become our friends here at Southern Specialty,” Morton said.
This sweet boutique is honestly a one-stop shop that offers anything and everything you can think of. A neat new addition to the store is Caren hand treatment, which is the only product that is allowed on MD Anderson cancer patients.
Some of the best-selling fashion lines include Katie Loxton of London’s jewelry and purse Line and Z Supply clothing line.
Brand new lines are now available in the store located at 8223 Navarre Parkway, in Palm Harbor Plaza across from Publix in Navarre. The boutique just released their newest jewelry line called Spartina 449 which consists of all different kinds of 18 karat gold-plated jewelry.
Another new addition to the trendy store is the Bogg Bag, a large waterproof, tip-proof tote bag that is made from the same material as Crocs. The sturdy and washable design makes this bag perfect for the beach or a baseball game or even for a teacher to carry all her students’ papers to school.
Southern Specialty now has EcoVessel fruit-infuser water bottles. The Boulder Fruit Infuser comes in many different colors and is carried in two sizes – a slim 20 oz bottle or a larger 32 oz bottle.
Southern Specialty is also the only local carrier of the famous Pura Vida bracelets, bags and jewelry from Costa Rico, that provides artisan jobs worldwide and donates a portion of their profits to charity.
“We always try to do something that involves a charity,” Gambill said.
Looking for candles or soaps? Southern Specialty has that, too.
The always popular Bridgewater Candles are in stock, as well as Tyler and Capri Blue candles made in the south. They make a perfect gift or maybe you just want to get one for yourself.
Southern Specialty even has items for men, despite the misconception that boutiques are only for ladies. They have gentleman gift sets and many kinds of masculine soaps and shaving supplies.
Morton says Southern Specialty plans to grow “bigger and better” in the coming years. They are working on starting their online inventory and possibly even opening another store in the future.
