SOF Missions stepping up to help at-risk veterans

Established in 2011 as a non-profit by Damon and Dayna Friedman, SOF Missions aims to combat the veteran suicide crisis.

Damon is a highly decorated officer in the United States Air Force who formerly served as the commander of the Special Tactics Training Squadron, Special Operations Command at Hurlburt Field. The president of SOF Missions did four combat tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and is currently a special tactics officer in central Florida.

The nonprofit he launched nearly a decade ago now has another mission, and that is helping at-risk veterans and first responders during the COVID-19 pandemic.
