Snowbird’s home away from home

Each year hundreds of people make their winter home in Florida and are, therefore, dubbed “Snowbirds.” They come in the winter months for many reasons, maybe to escape the cold and snow back home for warmer temperatures, to visit Florida when the beaches aren’t crowded with tourists or to spend some time gazing out over the water as the sun sets on Navarre Beach. Whatever the reason, Navarre welcomes these snowbirds to their temporary home-away-from-home. 
Hundreds of “snowbirds” make Navarre home during the winter months; they make their spring, summer and fall homes in a variety of states, provinces and nation. Those attending the recent snowbird reception came to Navarre from: Alaska, Canada, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Brunswick, New Hampshire, New York, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
