Over the last two seasons, Navarre’s volleyball team has won 16 matches. That’s more than double the win total of 2016 and 2017 combined (six).
The seniors have played a pivotal role in that turnaround.
They nearly pulled out another win last Tuesday night at home, pushing Gulf Breeze to five games in a thrilling back-and-forth match that featured momentum swings and an outcome that hung in doubt throughout.
“They’ve smoked us every time, but tonight, with all the seniors out there in the first game, we elevated to another level,” senior Haley McGee said. “We stepped onto another level and played hard.”
The performance speaks to the strides the Raiders have made. The senior class includes McGee, Mary Beloat, Tessa Hendricks, Veronica Ruiz and Alyssa Kisselburg, who moved in from Arizona.
