The Santa Rosa County School Board voted Sept. 10 tentatively in favor of purchasing 63.6 acres of vacant land in Pace to create two new schools in the coming years. The district is offering $1.6 million for the property.
That purchase will not be finalized until after an Oct. 1 public hearing on the matter.
