Santa Rosa declared Second Amendment sanctuary

Amid recent lawmaker calls for stricter gun control laws, the Santa Rosa County Commission unanimously supported declaring the county a Second Amendment sanctuary Dec. 12 during its regular meeting.

The vote came less than a week after a gunman killed three unarmed airmen at Naval Air Station Pensacola. The victims were not carrying weapons due to the base classrooms being declared a gun-free zone.
