U.S. Highway 98 westbound traffic in Navarre came to a crawl 4:30 p.m. Sept. 4 after a T-bone type collision at the intersection of Coral Street. Dispatchers indicated one person was ejected from their vehicle, and an SUV was rolled over on its side in the road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a black Toyota Tundra and a black Cadillac SUV collided, causing injuries to a 70-year-old man from Fort Walton Beach and a 39-year-old man from Navarre. Both drivers were transported to Baptist Hospital and appeared responsive at the time.
The investigating trooper cleared the scene at 7:22 p.m. and went to Baptist Hospital to interview the drivers. Details on the cause of the accident and any charges have not yet been released.
