Stay home is heard often as a response to those who express concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic.
But for the segment of the population that is more at risk of having complications from the coronavirus, specifically the elderly, staying home has forced them into a difficult position. Their lives remain on hold, and assisted living facilities remain closed to visitors as cases surge in Florida. A record 9,585 tested positive Saturday.
