Navarre ended last football season ranked sixth in the final Associated Press poll of the regular season.
The Raiders start this year in the others receiving votes category, picking up seven, the most of any team outside the top 10 in the 7A poll.
The lone team from District 1-7A to start the year in the 10 is Lincoln, which is seventh. The Raiders and Trojans square off Sept. 12 at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee.
District teams Chiles and Crestview picked up two votes apiece.
Lakeland and St. Thomas Aquinas start the year tied for the top spot, both receiving four first-place votes.
Armwood is ranked third and Venice is fourth. Atlantic Community rounds out the top five. Edgewater is sixth.
Palm Beach Lakes and McArthur are eighth and ninth. Plantation and Wekiva come in tied for 10th.
Navarre opens the 2019 season Friday night with the Beach Bowl against Gulf Breeze. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.
