A display of depth at quarterback, signs of progress along both lines and business as usual for Dante Wright highlighted the spring game against Pace Friday night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium.
The Raiders won the varsity first half 31-14 and then outscored the Patriots 14-7 in a second half featuring many of the varsity backups as well as JV players.
Signal callers Garon Finley and Marlon Courtney combined for four touchdowns, with Finley running for a pair of scores and Courtney throwing two scoring strikes to Wright, arguably the area’s best offensive threat.
“We definitely saw a lot of good stuff and have something to build on,” Navarre head coach Jay Walls said. “We have a long way to go, but I think we had a productive spring.”
