Raiders play host to Patriots

Navarre is back in action tonight, hosting Pace in a non-district game at Bennett C. Russell Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.

The Raiders are coming off a 28-21 season-opening win over Gulf Breeze in the Beach Bowl last week. The Patriots fell 29-13 to Choctaw in their opener.

Navarre and Pace played twice last season, with the Raiders winning the regular-season matchup 49-30 and the playoff game 38-6.

The Raiders put a balanced attack on display last week against the Dolphins, rushing for 179 yards and racking up 171 passing yards. They allowed 202 yards, including just 57 through the air.

Tyler Hunter led Pace with 97 rushing yards. The Patriots finished with 229 yards of total offense in the loss to Choctaw.


Marlon Courtney threw for 171 yards last week, pushing his career passing yard total to 2,599. He also has 21 career touchdown passes.

Jaydin Antonio rushed for 70 yards and caught two passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.

Tyler England caught three passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. He has 748 career receiving yards.

Jeffrey Mattox, Grady Kelly and Mehki Domino all have 8.5 tackles apiece. A total of 10 Raiders have at least three tackles.

Jay Wall is 71-17 in his career at Navarre. The Raiders are 22-5 at home since 2015.
