Raiders keep hot streak going with two more wins

Tally another two wins for Navarre’s boys basketball team. Last week, the Raiders outran Crestview 60-55 and powered past Pace by a 57-39 score.

Navarre (14-7, 4-4 District 1-6A) has won its last six games

Still, despite the success, Navarre head coach Terry Posey can’t make heads nor tales of the Raiders’ chances of making the playoffs.

“There’s a lot of unknowns when it comes to the playoffs. It’s off your wins and losses, and who you play’s wins and losses,” Posey said.

With a game against Fort Walton Beach Tuesday already behind them, they’re looking to add wins against district foe Milton Friday night, then West Florida and Washington next week. All but the West Florida game are on Navarre’s home floor.

The string of wins come at a point where front-court play has improved. Against the Bulldogs and Patriots, Navarre had a distinct height advantage. However, that didn’t translate heavily into inside scoring.
