Navarre’s swim team competed in a tri-meet Wednesday against Gulf Breeze and Washington at the Pullum YMCA in Navarre.
The Raiders won three individual events.
Claire Sczesny took the girls 100-yard freestyle in a time of 1:05. Harrison Dorsey rushed to a first place in the boys 100 backstroke in 58.45 seconds, and he finished second in the 50 freestyle.
Alyssa Allen set a season-best in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:18.50. She took third in the 50 freestyle.
Luke Losquadro was second in the boys 50 freestyle, and Madison Sullins knocked a few hundredths of a second off her season best for second in the 200 freestyle.
The girls 200 medley relay team – Jenna Cavanaugh, Allen, Sullins and Sczesny – finished third while lopping nearly a quarter-second off their 2019 best. The boys’ quartet of Harrison, Charles Smith, Losquadro and Austin Koenigseder took third in the boys 200 medley relay.
A total of 12 Raiders posted ‘season best’ times.
Sullins clocked a 5:58.63 time for fourth place in the 500 freestyle, which consisted of 20 laps.
“It was my first 500,” she said. “I need a little better pace, as my beginning 250 was probably my fastest.”
