Raiders fall in rivalry game to Eagles

It started off well enough. Navarre jumped on top of rival Niceville 1-0 four minutes into this showdown last Monday night at Bennett C. Russell Stadium thanks to a goal from Jack Patching.

The thought was perhaps this time the story would be different for the Raiders, that this would be their first win over the Eagles since 2015.

Instead, Niceville did what it always does and that’s take control as the game wears on and deliver another win.

This time, the Raiders fell 5-1, unable to slow down the momentum the Eagles built up throughout the mild December night in Navarre.

Niceville didn’t tie the game until there was 13:19 left in the half. Before that, the Raiders had kept the Eagles in check.

Kalvin Coppock came up with a clutch save, deflecting the ball off to the side at the 25-minute mark. He made another big save a few minutes later.
