Raider swimmers win county quad meet

Navarre’s swim team swept the Santa Rosa County Quad meet last Wednesday afternoon.

The girls competed against Pace, Milton and Okaloosa County foe Fort Walton Beach and won with 499 points. The boys tallied 416 points, beating out Milton and Pace.

Olivia Sczesny won two events, taking first in the 50 freestyle (27.06) and 100 free (1:09.94). Merete Conley also won twice. She took first in the 200 free with a time of 2:23.00 and she won the 500 free, clocking in with a time of 6:23.22.

Dylan Porter was a double winner for the boys, claiming first in the 100 free (54.28) and 100 backstroke (1:04.85).

Courtney Rodrigues took home a first place in the 200 IM, finishing the race in a time of 2:47.75, and Daniel Sears placed first for the boys in the same event, recording a time of 2:52.87.

Harrison Dorsey won an event as well, finishing first in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.91).
