Social distancing took center stage as Navarre’s girls soccer team returned to work this week for the first time in nearly three months.
Players were spaced out as they kicked soccer balls around and did various exercises such as sit ups and pushups.
It’s not the regular normal the Raiders are used to due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. But just the chance to be back on the field on a sunny and muggy morning at Bennett C. Russell Stadium was welcomed with open arms.
“It’s exciting to be back with everyone,” senior Maia Vacks said. “We get a chance to start preparing for next season. We can’t do everything we want to right now, but it’s great to be out here.”
