Navarre’s girls weightlifting team now has a month off before it returns to the grind as far as competition is concerned.
But that doesn’t mean the Raiders are taking it entirely easy. They still find time to put in work, especially with the mindset that a state championship is the team’s ultimate goal.

Navarre head coach Garrett Bagley has taken notice of the motivation being shown by his team.
“I’m very pleased with where we are at. We have a very determined group. They are self-motivated,” Bagley said. “Our technique is coming along. Our strength is coming along. It’s just a really good group.”
Staying the course becomes a little more challenging at this point, merely because a two-week Christmas break begins Friday.
